" Kasztanowa Chatka "   ( " The   Chestnut   Cottage " )
Longhaired   Dachshund   Standard   breeding.

The   first   dachshund   ran   into   me   in   1978,
and   from   1986   I   have   been   keeping   dachshunds.
Neverless,   I   have   litters   very   rarely   and   I   keep
dogs   for   myself   and   my   friends.
I  think  that  it  is  worth  reproducing  only  healthy  dogs
with   good   character.   This   is   the   fundamental   thing.
Assuming  that  a  good  dog  breeding  can  not  be  profitable.
Surely   profit   making   is   not   the   basis   of   my   activity.
My   females   had   tests   on   ophthalmic   illnesses   -  
They  are  free  from  PRA  ( Progressive Retinal Atrophy )
and  Cat.   All   of   them   have   full   dentition.

A   longhaired   dachshund   is   a   wonderful   breed.
For  30  years,  constantly,  it  has  been  my  non - stop  joy.
These   dogs   are   full   of   energy   but   sensitive,   joyful,
tireless  in  play.  Meanwhile  they  are  focused  on  a  man.
They  are  tender  and  delicate,  dedicated  but  with  their
own  opinions.  They  can  be  very  quiet  and   "invisible".
When   we   have   time   for   them   they   change   into
spirited   companions   in   long   walks   and   plays.
I  am  crazy  about  this  breed  so  I  have  been  doing
my  best  to  bring  top - class  dogs  from  the  best  world
breeds   to   Poland.   I   do   not   keep   males   at   home.
I   am   a   co - owner   of   a   one   male.
He  lives  at  my  friends  place.  Still,  during  last  few
years   I   contributed   to   importing   few   outstanding
dogs   i.e.   a   brother   of   my   RIGPA,
Int.  Ch.  RIMINI  and  Ch.  PALOMINO  della  Canterana
( the  last  one  is  a  father  of  my  second  female  LUCJA ).
My  ideal  are  dogs  of  classical  type  of  "old  Wijsterhoeve"
and   their   direct   offspring   dogs   from " Silly's   Home "
breed   (both in Holland)   and   "della  Canterana"   ( Italy ).
That  is  why  I  am  happy  that  I  was  able  to  buy  a  female
 from  Slovakia  with  all  above  dogs  in  her  pedigree.
It  is  the  founder  of  my  present  lineage  Eur.  W'03  Ch.PL
  RIGPA   from   Turanska   Obora   (KAJA).  Presently  except
RIGPA  and  LUCJA (9 x CACIB  CH.PL  PL'04  CLUB W. '04)
I  owe  also  their  daughter  and  grandaughter  ADŻANTA
EW   (FCI)    ES - VDH (res.)  CH.PL   J.CH.PL
CLUB   WINNER   '07,   '08,   13 x CACIB ).
She   loves   dog   shows.

My  only  "boy"  is  LUCJA's  and  Int.  Ch. KRIKTOR's  son :
a young gentleman named   J.CH.PL   CH.PL   CACIB   BOB
FLAVIO   z   Kasztanowej   Chatki  
He   brought   to   my   breed   blood   of   precious   ancestors
from  the  USA  ( I.Ch, Am.Ch. Elysium JEAGERSON )  and
the  best  Swedish   female   I.Ch.Örnberget's   DANIELA.

My   three   girls   are   really   great.  A   grandmother   Kaja  is
the   boss   but   she   fulfils  her  leadership  with  great  fantasy.
She  loves  long  walks,  crazy  playing  and  knowing  new  friends.
At  home  she  controls  the  area  occupying  the  highest  furniture.
She   climbs   and   jumps   almost   like   a   cat.
Her  daughter  LUCJA  is  more  stable,  she  does  not  care  about
her  position  in  the  pack,  so  she  is  the  last  one  in  the  group.
Still  she  is  always  ready  to  take  care  of  a  full  bowl  of  food!
ADŻANTA  is  a  family  joker,  101  per  cent  of  temperament,
so   getting   crazy   with   her ..... grandma   is   her   daily   agenda.
FLAVIO  is  a  golden  retriever  in  disguise  of  a  dachshund  (!):
he  is  a  friend  of  all  the  world,  loves  all  people  and  even
those  dogs  who  do  not  want  to  share  his  friendly feelings.
He  is  also  the  champion  of  all  apporting  dachshunds - a ball
is  his  passion!  My  dogs  hunt  only  for  balls  and  other  toys.
I  think  that  we  all  have  the  same  right  to  live and  enjoy
living,  so  we  do  not  disturb  foxes  and  other  little  animals.
Let   them   live   freely   and   happily!

of   dogs   of   different   breeds.  My  watercolours  of  dogs,  cats
and  horses  have  reached  already  all  countries  of  the  world.
